Our potential adoptive families make a loving commitment to you and your child, as well as to us. We ask the following of them:

• They have a strong Christian faith.
• Their marriage is strong and healthy.
• They have the ability and desire to be good and godly parents.
• Openness to all that the entire adoption process includes.
• Willingness to love a child and help them grow.

Becoming Qualified to Adopt

A lot is required of potential adoptive families to qualify for adoption with Antioch Adoptions. Here are a few of the requirements:

• Attend our Introduction Class to determine if Antioch Adoptions is the right fit.
• Have a pre-screening interview asking about their motivation to adopt, family history, marriage, etc.
• Complete a Home Study to determine if their home is prepared to receive a baby.
• Provide medical records, financial information, referrals, proof of employment, etc.
• Complete a family profile book or bio with photos and information about themselves.
• Submit criminal background checks, particularly child abuse.
